Make plans now to attend a 2014 NMASC/District Fall Conference - your chance for exciting leadership training... networking with student leaders and advisors... exchanging ideas, projects and practices... having fun... and getting energized to make 2014-2015 the best year ever!

Bob Tryanski

This year's conferences will feature nationally-known speaker Bob Tryanski. Bob is a longtime friend of NMASC and we are excited to welcome him back to the Land of Enchantment!

For middle and high school leaders in NMASC member schools. The cost is $20/student and $10/adult—and includes leadership training, workshop materials and lunch.

  • Central District: Saturday, October 18 at Atrisco Heritage Academy HS in Abq
  • Southeast District: Monday, October 20 at ENMU Campus in Roswell
  • Southwest District: Tuesday, October 21 at Centennial HS in Las Cruces
  • Northwest District: Wednesday, October 22 at the Farmington Civic Center
  • Northeast District: Thursday, October 23 at Española Valley HS

The online reservation deadline is midnight on October 3 and the postmark deadline is October 8.

NASC LEAD Conference Coming to Albuquerque!

Albuquerque will host a 2014 LEAD Conference, November 14-16 at the Hotel Albuquerque/Old Town. LEAD Conferences offer experiential leadership skills development at an affordable price to students and advisors of the National Honor Society, the National Junior Honor Society, the National Association of Student Councils, and the Tri-M Honor Society. Take advantage of this tremendous opportunity in our own backyard!

New Mexico Chosen to Host the 2015 NASC National Conference!

Elevate Your Leadership is the theme of the 2015 NASC (National Association of Student Councils) national conference!  And what better place to elevate your leadership than mile high, at host school Rio Rancho High School!  The Home of the Rams' Student Council is looking forward to welcoming hundreds of StuCo leaders and advisors from schools across the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Canada, and beyond to our Land of Enchantment!  Congratulations to Rio Rancho High School, Rio Rancho Public Schools, and the communities of Rio Rancho and Albuquerque as the Student Council leadership experience elevates to new heights!  The last time the NASC national conference came to New Mexico was when Manzano HS hosted it in the late 80's.

NMASC Discovers the Treasures of Leadership at the 2014 NASC National Conference in Florida!

NMASC delegation visits Walt Disney World

The NASC National Student Council Conference - Discover the Treasures of Leadership - was hosted by Ocoee HS near Orlando, Florida June 27 - 29, 2014.  NMASC's delegation of 24 students and advisors, from six high schools and one middle school, were an excellent representation of New Mexico from Aztec to Dexter!  In addition to an exciting and event-filled three days discovering the treasures in leadership training, our delegation discovered the treasures of the Sunshine State at the Magic Kingdom and Cocoa Beach!  Leadership bounty abounds!
